Paris 4: Boutique

Window shopping the streets of Paris was my favorite part of our walks (probably not Jason's!). Someday I'll have a shop with a storefront as cute as the Parisians do. It was impossible to enter every single shop but I sure as hell wanted to.

Paris 2: Les Rues de Paris

Here's a curated set of photos that I took on the miles of walking we did every day. Some days we left the hotel with a destination, others days we got deliberately lost. I don't know what we would have done without the Lonely Planet Paris guidebook that our friend Kam gave us! Helped us feel comfortable that we'd find our way no matter where we turned. I loved that if we ever saw a curious or cute alleyway, we turned into it without any discussion. That street looks cute and we're going to walk down it and that's that! I know now more than ever, I can walk beside this man forever.

The areas photographed below show when we left the magnificent Louvre, while got lost in Marias in search for Las Du Fallafel that was closed, roaming around Montmarte where Amelie was filmed, passing French merchandise of sidewalk vendors along the Seine river, the bustling outdoor market of Rue du Mouffetard, the Universite du Sorbonne adjacent to our hotel, rooftops of Odeon, and the stairways leading from the Sacre Coeur Cathedral where we happened to catch a beautiful Sunday service.

Paris 1: Les Animaux

Paris photos are finally edited and brought to you by Milan Lee Productions!

I won't be posting in chronological order since that method only really works for those in attendance. Instead, I've decided to tell the story by theme of content. Allow me to ease you in with a short post of some furry friends you might see on the streets of Paris.

Our Wedding

All photos by Peter McCollough

It's been nearly a month since these photos were taken, and still I find new things to love about that day as it unfolded in amazing ways that I never could have planned. The foyer setup, the banquet tables, the flower arrangements, the lighting, the music, the hors d'ouvres, the bathtub, the candles, the giant wreath, everyone's outfits, and silly faces in the photobooth, the Sapporo keg, the slideshow, the mountain setting...the past 9 months came together in reality for me and I'm still pinching myself to wake up.

I consider myself to be overly critical but I can honestly say that because of our family and friends, every detail of our wedding day was taken care of and nothing could have possibly gone wrong. Jason and I married while surrounded by the powerful love of our dearest friends from near and far.

We. Were. Invincible.

Some people say, "It's just another day", and some people say "It's the happiest day of your life". I think I'll go with something in between. A monumental day. A culmination of all the love in our lives. A true celebration. All I know is that I am so happy to have these photos to look back upon on those rainy days, when I need a reminder of how just damn lucky we are. Thank you, you know who you are.
